MEET MRS. LAWN
Hello Sierra Vista families,
My name is Lori Lawn and I am the Response to Intervention Coordinator at Sierra Vista K-8 School. I have been here from the beginning and Sierra Vista is the best place to spend each school day. A little bit about me… I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from CSU Sacramento and my teaching credential from CSU Hayward, now called CSU East Bay. The 2023-2024 school year will mark my 32nd year in education! I have taught in the Vallejo, Fairfield and Vacaville school districts and have experience in every grade level. I taught Kindergarten through 4th grades, was a writing specialist for 5th and 6th grade, and was an Independent Studies teacher for grades 7-12. I love learning and teaching and the richness and promise that education brings to the lives our students. This is why I have been in education for so many years! As the Response to Intervention Coordinator, I get to know all our students, making sure that the needs of each individual are met. I believe that working together with our students, their families, and our staff is the key to ensuring success for all. I am delighted at the opportunity to do so in the unique and quaint setting offered at Sierra Vista K-8 School.
My time away from school is spent with my husband Mike, our children Jake, Emily, and Carly, our sweet granddaughter Mia and our adorable dog, Buddy. My husband and I love to attend Cal sports, travel, and spend time with our friends and family.
My door is always open…please stop by and say hello!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lawn
