Dear Sierra Vista families,
Thank you for visiting my webpage. I am so excited to start another year here at Sierra Vista!
I was born and raised in Napa, and come from a family of educators. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Oregon in 2009. After earning my Bachelor's, I participated in an internship through the University of Northern Iowa, working in Child Development Centers on US military bases abroad. I had the opportunity to live and work in Germany, on a small Army Garrison in Baumholder for 5 months, and spent nearly every weekend traveling. My drive to work with children continued, and upon my return to the US, I enrolled in the teacher credentialing program at Sonoma State University.
The 2026-2027 school year will be my 15th year teaching, and my 8th year at Sierra Vista. I have had the opportunity to teach in 2 states, North Carolina and Utah, before returning back to my home state of California. I have taught 4th grade for all but one of my years in education. I love the age of the students, and the curriculum that we cover. I make sure that my classroom is one where all students feel safe to learn, grow, and make mistakes.
In my time away from school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. We love going on walks, riding bikes, playing sports, and visiting the family ranch in Mendocino County.
Looking forward to a great year,
Mrs. Clark
