Dear Sierra Vista Grizzlies,
My name is Kady Barber, and this is my first year teaching second grade at Sierra Vista. With two prior years teaching fourth grade, I am excited to help prepare students to meet their future expectations with flying colors. It was my own second-grade teacher who made me feel welcomed, inspired, and motivated to become a teacher myself. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my bachelor's degree and my master’s degree in education from the University of Massachusetts Global.
I strive to inspire my students to try their best and achieve all of their goals. I prioritize collaboration, STEM, and research-based literacy practices to help students become lifelong learners. In my classroom, you will see morning meetings, hands-on activities, and collaborative work where all are welcome.
When I’m not in the classroom, I love to read (I read over 100 books a year!), visit new coffee shops, and spend time with family.
