Dear Sierra Vista Families,
My name is Mrs. Parker, and this is my tenth year as a teacher in Vacaville and my 5th year teaching 5th grade here at Sierra Vista.
I love teaching here in Vacaville. I myself was a student through VUSD. After high school I attended the University of California, Irvine for my bachelor’s degree in English, a minor in Education, as well as a Masters in Education. While working on my degrees, I worked in after school programs where I developed a real passion for working in education.
In the classroom students will learn through AVID strategies geared towards getting them ready for the rigors of middle school and beyond. As a teacher, I believe in fostering positive relationships and building a strong sense of community within the classroom. I am looking forward to getting to know my new community for the 24-25 school year!
When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my two children, Mr. Parker, and my friends. I love to run and can often be seen running around town in the early morning.
