ENROLLMENT 2026-2027
January 5 - February 6, 2026
Thank you for your interest in Sierra Vista K-8 School for the 2026-27 school year! Sierra Vista TK-8 has a school-wide AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program. AVID prepares TK-12th grade students for four-year college eligibility, and focuses on bringing out the best in each individual student. With a focus on organization, goal-setting, inquiry and collaborative learning, AVID helps every Sierra Vista student succeed.
Submit applications at Sierra Vista TK-8 School
If your student is currently attending in VUSD, please ONLY complete the paper enrollment form and provide current proof of residency (PG&E, lease, mortgage, water bill, or utility bill).
If this is your student's first time enrolling in VUSD, visit the enrollment website and complete the online enrollment or stop by the main office and pick up an enrollment packet.
Priorities:
1. Current SV siblings of a returning student or employee at SV
2. Students who live in other Vacaville Unified School District boundaries.
3. Students who live outside the Vacaville Unified School District boundaries.
Process:
1. The lottery will start with the priorities listed above.
2. Each student will receive a number.
3. If a grade level fills up, then a waiting list will be used in numbered order.
4. Whenever a spot opens, the waiting list will be used in numbered order.
If the number of students interested in enrolling exceeds the capacity of Sierra Vista TK-8, students will be enrolled in order of the enrollment priority grouping per our priorities. If the process reaches a group that cannot be fully accommodated a lottery will be held and families will be notified of their status. Public Lottery will be February 25, 2026 @ 6:00 PM via Google Meet. You do not have to be present during the lottery process.
**If your student is accepted into Sierra Vista TK-8 and you live outside of the Vacaville Unified School District’s boundaries, you will be required to complete an additional step before your student is enrolled. All students that reside outside of our District and wish to attend one of our comprehensive school sites (non-charter schools) are required to submit an InterDistrict Attendance Agreement with their District of residence. The District of residence needs to approve the Agreement first and then they will forward it to our District for our review and consideration. If the Agreement is approved, then the formal enrollment process can begin. In order to take advantage of your lottery selection, please make sure you submit your InterDistrict Agreement within 30 calendar days of this email. Failure to submit the Agreement, may result in your student’s spot at Sierra Vista TK-8 being removed to allow students on the waitlist to enroll. If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact the Student Attendance and Welfare Office at 707-469-2307.
Enrollment Period after Lottery: Enrolling on or after February 7, 2026.
1. First come, first serve basis.
2. Dependent on space available.
3. If there are no open spots then waiting list.
