My name is Chris Razo, and I’m the Functional Academics teacher for 3rd-5th grade. I’m so excited to be part of the Grizzly family at Sierra Vista K-8!
I earned my B.S. from the University of Phoenix and my Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential from National University. This is my second year at Sierra Vista and my fourth year in education. I’ve had the opportunity to work with students at both the high school and elementary levels. Before becoming a teacher, I was also a paraeducator, which allowed me to work with and support students of all ages and abilities.
One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know my students and their families and watching them grow throughout the year. I’m excited to build positive relationships, create a supportive classroom environment, and celebrate all the little and big successes along the way!
When I’m not at school, I’m usually spending time with my beautiful wife, whom I’ve been married to for almost five years. We’re both huge Disney fans and love visiting Disneyland whenever we get the chance! My favorite character is Max, Goofy’s son, and I’ve also become a bit of a Disney pin collector. I especially enjoy collecting metal pins from rides, characters, and different themes.
We also love spending time with family and friends. Some of our favorite things to do are hosting game nights, having BBQs, and just hanging out at home and making memories together.
I’m looking forward to an awesome year filled with fun, growth, new memories, and lots of great moments with our students. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish this year!
Mr. Razo
